I have always had a passion for the sea ever since I was a young child, always enjoying my times at Deep Sea World, I was just fascinated by it all.

As I got a bit older I wanted to start doing scuba diving so my dad put me through my training and also decided to go through it with me as he was a navy diver.

I will alway remember my first dive in the sea, it was a nice clear day and the visibility in the water was great (uncommon here in Scotland), I spend about 20 mins under the surface with my buddy and when I was coming back I saw my first jellyfish and it was massive, I remember thinking to myself to stay clear.

I had many dives after this from diving off the back of boats, harbour dives, night dives and one wreck dive, we never found it though.

Fast forward a good few years, I met my wife and while she was away for a girly weekend I snuck in my first fresh water tank and got it set up. Emm, Mrs P was not chuffed when she got home and seen the big tank of water in her living room. Unfortunately at this time I rushed into this decision and never done my research beforehand and this tank didn't last too long and my wife said this wouldn't happen again.

Years went by and success finally came when Mrs P had no idea what to get for my birthday, she came home with my first ever reef tank which was a 60l tank and we have never looked back, from bigger tank to bigger tank and now a small farm.

We have been growing coral for years and finally decided to start The Coral House as our family business, even roped my old man in, he secretly loves it.
